Anjana Vivek, Director, VentureBean Consulting Private Limited, is a consultant, teacher and writer.Her areas of expertise include business planning, business models, valuation, mergers and acquisitions,negotiation, venture capital and funding strategies. She is an advisor/consultant to corporate clients,business leaders, venture capital funds and investor groups. VentureBean Consulting, a boutiqueconsulting firm, is the entrepreneurial venture of Anjana, founded by her along with IIM alumni. Servicesprovided range from consulting to syndication to leadership and team development.
Prior to her current role, Anjana was a full time faculty member in Indian Institute of ManagementBangalore (IIMB). She continues to teach at IIMB as Guest Faculty and at other premier institutes. Somekey positions held by her include COO of NSRCEL (N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning)at IIMB and Vice President, Corporate Advisory Services, Ernst & Young Private Ltd. (E&Y), where sheheaded the due diligence practice in South India.
Anjana has been a board/committee member of organizations, including those of the Institute ofChartered Accountants of India (ICAI), IIMB, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce &Industry (FKCCI), Karnataka State Chartered Accountants of India (KSCAA) and TiE. She is a prolificwriter and speaker, and was the founding editor of the venture activity reports of the Indian VentureCapital Association (IVCA) from 1992 to 1998. She has authored three books: (i) “Venture Capital -A Practical Guide”; published by KSCAA (second edition in print); (ii) “Business Planning”; publishedby the Committee for Members in Industry, ICAI (second edition in print) and (iii) "Handbook onCorporate Valuation." Anjana is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a degree in B.Sc(Honours) Physics from the University of Delhi.
